I have microsoft office beta 2007(cant access the beta website for some
reason? hm..) anyways if you know the right newsgroup, please redirect me,
but-

I was wondering how to get newsgroups in microsoft outlook beta 2007? is it
possible?

Milly Staples - MVP Outlook

The same way as always - it uses Outlook Express for news. Issues with the
betas can be posted to the relevant Office groups as many of us are official
beta testers and can help with your experiences.

Outlook never had a news reader and probably never will - it will continue
to use your default news reader program.

Hi Milly,

Just curious, why doesnt Microsoft embed a good news reader within Outlook
itself ?

Because they already have one and corporations, the primary users of Outlook
(80% is the figure I heard) don't want their employees browsing
alt.sex.gerbils at work.

Why, then, is there a "new" button? When I click it, though, it takes me to
My Documents on my hard drive.
