Not a valid Add-in ...Error message on opening Outlook

Have been getting this error message when I open Outlook 2000:

‘C:\Documents and Settings\Sean\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns’ is not a
valid Office Add-in

I have searched for this file and no luck. I am running XP pro and resetting
to earlier dates does not help, nor has running office 'repair' from the CD
ROM.

Remove the addin with the Addin Manager. Tools, Options, Other, Advanced. Not
sure about the location in OL2K. Look up Addin Mgr in Help.

I went to the Addin Manager:
Tools, Options, Other, Advanced, Addin Manager and removed all the old
add-ins. The error message still shows up. I also clicked on the Com Add-Ins
button which brought up the same error message but there are no add-ins
seleted there either. I tried deleating the Add-ins folder I found following
the path in the error message with no luck. ;(
