Office 2003

Carmen O'Donnell

I recently purchased a new notebook running MS Vists .

I have Microsoft Office Basic 2003 that came with my desktop back in 2005..
My questions are: 1) Is 2003 compatable with Vista? 2.) Canl documents
created in Word 2003 on my desktop be installed in Vista.

I am elderly and retired and really have no use for the extra programs:
Excell, Powerpoint etc. I only use it for Word since it is the most broad
form for documents.

Thanks for any and all responses,,

I have Word 2003. My computer failed just after WINDOWS VISTA was
introduced. I hd no choice but to purchase a computer which had
VISTA. The new operating system (WINDOWS VISTA) has had NO effect on
Word 2003.

On another note--if you find Word too complicated then you might want
to try Wordpad which comes with all personal computers. It is a
Microsoft package. Go to: Start--All Programs--Accessories--WordPad.
This takes you to the program.

If you like WordPad then to avoid having to do all that clicking to
enter the software package, do the above but Right click on WordPad
instead of left clicking. Then left click on "Send to To save it as
an icon on your desktop." On of the nice features about WordPad which
many are unaware of is that if you want to capture a screen and place
it in a document you can do this easily with WordPad. If you see a
screen on the web or anywhere else you want to insert into a document,
you click "Printscreen" and then go into WordPad and paste the image
by either pressing Control V simultaneously, or clicking the "Paste"
icon, or by going to Edit Paste in WordPad.

Alternatively you can use Microsoft Works which generally comes with
most if not all personal computers.

Best of luck.
