Office Web Extensions

J

jjjdavidson

I've found numerous references here and elsewhere to Microsoft Office Web
Extensions, some of them within the last few weeks. The Web Extensions were
supposedly available as a free download for Office 2000, 2002, and 2003. But
nobody has provided a link, and searches of the MS websites have proven
fruitless.

Are the Web Extensions still offered? Has the name changed? Does anybody
know?

Thanks!
Jay

Hi, Jay.

Perhaps you are referring to Microsoft Office Web Components, which are
included in Microsoft Office and a few other Microsoft appplications and,
AFAIK, have never been available as a free download, since they are part of
the purchased software product:

MS Office XP:

You're welcome.. I didn't go looking for similar "article" about Office XP
OWC, but I know that it can be done because I've used OWC on PCs that didn't
have Office installed in order to allow use of ACCESS 2002 DAPs from that
PC.
