OneNote Beta Feedback

Not quite sure if this is the place for providing this feedback but I
couldn't find an alternative option. I hope these are helpful to the design
team. I look forward to the final product.

· Use same spelling dictionary/format as other office products
· CTRL-END does not go to the end of the document or container (as I would
expect) but to the beginning of the last container
· E-mail function does not work with Outlook 2003
· Printing to OneNote driver is great…. but very slow
· Feature Requests:
â—‹ Would be very nice to have page flipping functionality: The ability to
drag the mouse down the pages tabs and see the pages "flip." I would prefer
this to the normal drag and drop feature that I rarely use.
â—‹ Ability to color the tabs individually (thus enable visual grouping as
with a paper filing system)…without coloring the entire page
â—‹ Ability to add button to tool bar to jump to any page/location
â—‹ Ability to split a page top/bottom so it's possible to see and edit two
parts of the page
· Print to PDF does not print highlights correctly (overwrites/obliterates
underlying text).
· Go back button does not bridge between sessions
· Go back button does not always include a complete list of all previously
accessed pages
· Undo causes view of the window to scroll to the top of the page
· Undo sometimes undoes the second or third preceding change (as opposed to
the most current)
· During a date search (last 7 days for example) of pages, the search
results will show generating preview for a very long time (perhaps never
actually completing the action)

Proofing functionality is integrated across Office products. What
exactly are you missing?

· CTRL-END does not go to the end of the document or container (as I would
expect) but to the beginning of the last container

Why would you prefer the other behavior?

· E-mail function does not work with Outlook 2003

Known issue with Beta 2.

· Printing to OneNote driver is great…. but very slow

I'd expect this to be a beta issue. Betas are generally slower than
release versions.

This functionality exists. Hold down ALT and then use the mouse wheel to
riffle through the page tabs.

Search is rather broken in B2. Wait for the next beta release. It will
be out soon, but there is no firm ETA.
