OneNote should allow instant linking between pages (a la wikiwords

I've made a serious effort to adopt three different solutions for "thinking
aloud".

The first one was PersonalBrain (http://www.thebrain.com). I used it a few
years ago for an extended period of time, but eventually decided it took too
much work for too little return. To me it felt like they focused more on the
glitzy presentation than on usability.

Then when Microsoft shipped OneNote, I gave it a shot. It mostly worked for
what I needed to do, but I missed the ability to easily link to related
content on other pages (or if it's there, I've had a problem discovering it).

Most recently, I heard about WikidPad and gave it a shot. So far, I love its
simplicity. But it doesn't quite have the features of OneNote.

What I'd love to see is the ability to link one OneNote page to another by
using wikiwords (or something similar--I'd be almost as happy if I could type
link:"some title") and have it instantly turn into a hyperlink to a
particular titled page in my notebook.

It doesn't help you today, but the next version of OneNote will have the
ability to create URL-like links to any section/page/note. It's due to
be released this Fall with the rest of Office 2007.

Unfortunately, the Office 2007 release has been set back until next
spring (according to press information from Microsoft), so I assume
"this Fall" for OneNote has slipped also. <sigh>

Actually January for retail customers; October or November for volume
license customers. Yes, that will probably slip the ship date for OneNote
as well.
