Hello,
Let me ask a generic question about the outline code.
Here is the help description:
In addition to the outline (outline: A hierarchical structure for a project
that shows how some tasks fit within broader groupings. In Project, subtasks
are indented under summary tasks.) structure you specify with summary tasks
and subtasks and built-in outline and WBS codes, you can specify an
alternate structure for your project with outline codes (outline codes:
Custom tags you define for tasks or resources that allow you to show a
hierarchy of the tasks in your project that is different from WBS codes or
outline numbers. You can create up to 10 sets of custom outline codes in
your project.).
Are there any bad points to using outline code as opposed to the regular
outlinehierarchical structure ).
I see when you build outline code you still get the work adding up in the
different levels. So that is ok.
It is a bit harder to add tasks in the outline code. Having to put the
correct code mask for your hierarchy.
As opposed to just clicking the indent button. to build the hierarchy.
Is there anything else to look out for when using outline code?
thanks
