outlook 2000

I'd like to insert pictures into my e-mail rather than attach them, but when
I click on insert, the picture option is not available, just File, Item, and
Signature. I'm using Office 2000 Professional. I used to use Office 2000
Small Business edition and was able to insert pictures in my outlook e-mail
with it. I'm wondering if you can insert pictures with the small business
edition and not the professional edition, but that doesn't make any sense.
I've tried repairing my office installation and reinstalling it, but neither
one has done any good. I'm trying to avoid removing and reinstalling office
if I can. Any advice/suggestions how to fix this so I can insert pictures in
my e-mails. Thanks

christina,

i bet your format is set to TEXT and not HTML. open a new, blank
message. click FORMAT and check HTML.

then click into the body of the empty message, then click INSERT and
i'll bet you now see 6 options, including picture.

you won't see the INSERT PICTURE option unless the format of the
message is HTML AND your cursor is in the body of the message.

A few minutes after I made the post, I finally found the answer to my problem
on the Microsoft website. I had looked on it before and couldn't find it
anywhere, but finally found the same answer you just gave me. Thanks so
much! I forgot to change my mail format to always be HTML rather than plain
text.
