Outlook 2003 cant use previous versions of Word as E-mail editor??

When I try set Word as my e-mail editor, it is greyed out. I'm currently
using Outlook 2003 along with Office 2002. Is there a way to use Word as my
e-mail editor with Outlook 2003?

No. They both have to be the same version.
