Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with Outlook 2003 when it starts. Every time I open
the program it gives me a barrage of errors like, The extension
configuration file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Addins\msspc.ecf" could
not be installed. There is an error in the syntax or file format. The
actual file name changes sometimes, but it is basically the same thing. I
tried to remove the entire office suite and reinstall with no avail. I also
tried uninstalling outlook and installing outlook xp, then i upgraded it to
2003, but it still didn't work. Outlook XP did work, but i can't access new
pst files created in 2003.
I also tried to follow what microsoft suggested in Knowledgebase Article #
204951. This did not work. I tried all three different techniques
individually and combined with no results. I also did a scan pst, which did
find errors and fixed them, but still it did not work. I did notice that
when i looked at the log file i didn't really see anything that the scan had
done, but it must have found something.
If anyone has any idea about this problem, please help. Thank you.
