Outlook 2007 - where is my incoming email?

I have recently downloaded Microsoft Office Suites 2007 and started using
Office Outlook for the first time. I had help setting it up and for the first
few days have had no trouble receiving and sending email.

But now I am not receiving any emails from my original mail server. They are
showing there but do not seem to be transferred to Outlook. I have checked
the property set ups and it seems to be fine but as a beginner I could be
wrong.

Can someone explain to me what I need to do to get my email coming through
like it did before?

Maybe I am just blonde! :(

Appreciate anyones help. Thankyou.

What email provider\server (WLHotmail, Gmail, ISP, etc.) are you using?

Thank you for responding Kevin.

I have checked the settings and it is Webmail ie mail.name.com Does that
make sense?

I am able to send out emails, ask for a received receipt but the reply only
comes back to my server and not outlook. Even a test email from friends do
not get as far as Outlook.

I appreciate your help.

Pattiecake,

Webmail and mail.name.com sound fairly generic and although there is a
Domain Name Provider called name.com I suspect your provider is actually
someone else.

Can you please tell me what follows the @ symbol in your email address?
For example [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] Don't
post your name part of your address just what follows the @ symbol.

What follows the @ symbol in your email address will let me look-up your
email provider, the company you have your email through and check the
settings that they recommend.

Thanks Patticake! Makes a little more sense now. Looking up the domain
record it appears your web site and email hosting may be provided
through www.loansinteractive.com. Unfortunately from a quick glance
they do not appear to have any information on email configuration
readily available on their web site. I would suggest you give them a
call next week and have them walk through the configuration settings
with you. There is a chance that your mail server is
mail.doynoreality.com but I have no idea whether they are using the POP
or IMAP protocols to access your email. Since you are paying them for
domain and email hosting they should be assisting you.

Sorry I was unable to be of more assistance.

Thank you Kevin. Looks like I will have to contact them.

Seems strange that it worked for a few days but then decided to stop.

Thanks again.
