Outlook 2k duplicates graphics

When I use Word to send an HTML email that containsa picture, either Outlook
or Word duplicates the photo so when it arrives there are two photos. This
occurs whether Outlook is used to make the email, or Word is used (in HTML
mode).

The problem seems to have started when we upgraded from NT to XP Pro, but
that may be coincidental. Any ideas?
