Outlook - allow color highlights of key points of emails received

T

It would be great to be able to color code highlight emails I receive to
quickly order the key points of an email to refer back to them later.
Example, someone sends a long email describing a marketing piece they need.
Then I go through and highlight all the key points of that email (Tri-fold
brochure, company, history, contact info, etc.) rather than having to create
an outline in another program.

Either I wasn't clear in my first post or you misunderstood. I am talking
about an email message that I receive, not compose. Can color coded
highlighting be done in a message that I receive?

I thought you meant on replying ;-)

On original mails you can choose Edit-> Edit Message

Yeah...but that really doesn't do it. Even if the message is HTML you can't
highlight text or change the BG color (highlight). It would just be nice to
be able to disect a message quickly so when you go back to look at it it is
broken down into highlighted points...Let's hope that Microsoft reads this
and puts that feature in soon...:)
