Outlook archive file overwritten or appended to?

In Outlook 2000, when I archive calendar items to an existing archive
file, do the archived items get added to the archive file, or is the
archive file completely overwritten? Thanks.

Well, not exactly appending, but, no, Auto Archive doesn't delete data.
It simply adds more data into the folder.

Probably. It would seem to be something that would be *really* easy to test

Yes, you're right, for mail folders. Since it is a calendar, I wanted
to avoid removing appointments just to find out. However, I can just
create dummy appointments, archive, remove the dummy appointment, and
re-archive. Thanks.
