Outlook Freezes when replying to or forwarding an email

Running Office 2007 on a number of machines in my company, Outlook 2007
appears to freeze for a few minutes occasionally when replying to or
forwarding an email with any web content. The backend system is exchange
2003. Outlook does free itself up after a few mins and the mail is sent. Has
anyone come across this issue or can suggest a resolution?

Hi,

It does happen when you hit either reply or forward, not on sending a new
mail. Don't currently have any sites in the restricted zone when I checked.
I'll check to make sure I have that performance update you suggested.

is it downloading external content or is it just simple html? downloading
external content (usually images) can be slow, especially if you use a
firewall or antivirus that checks activity.

I am really having problems with outlook 2007. I have an outgoing mail with
photos attached stuck in the ouytbook and it is slowing everything up. I have
tried to delete it but always says it is trying to send. how can I delete
this and be done with it?

Posted a response yesterday but it somehow didn't update here! It appears to
be just html in the messages which is causing it where for instance, even
where someone has pasted text content from a web page.
