Hi,

I'm facing a problem where my i've two different OST files in my local
machine \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook, the files are,
outlook0.ost- Size >1 GB and outlook.ost- 100 MB size. I actually do not
know the usage of this file and the necessity's for two different OST files.
Also when checked on the modified dates of these files, outlook.ost is
modified on the current date, where as outlook0.ost was last modified a
month back. Is there any harm if i delete the outlook0.ost file and why this
file is occupying such a large space.

Any advice on this will be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Shyam

Since an OST is merely a reflection of what's in the server's mailbox, you
can delete them both with Outlook closed and let Outlook recreate what it
needs. Outlook uses only one OST at a time, typically.
