Outlook Outbox shows wrong number of messages in outbox.

My Outlook Outbox shows that there are 2 messages in it when there are NO (0)
messages in it.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can zero out the number of
messages in the outbox???

This is on an XP system, 5.1.2600, w/SP2. The Outlook version is 2002 w/SP3.
