Outlook Trying to retrieve Data

Running Outlook 2003, receive pop-up trying to retrieve data from server".
Server is running W2K3, Exchange 2003 Enterprise SP1.

Any suggestions appreciated

The network connection between Outlook and the Exchange server is
experiencing longish delays.
