Outlook won't come up again after closing unless I restart. Why?

I upgraded to XP Professional, then upgraded to Office 2003 Professional.
Since then I can access Outlook one time and it works fine, but if I try to
open it again later, the little hourglass comes on for a couple of seconds,
then goes off and Outlook won't come up. I have to restart the computer to
get Outlook open again. I tried running Office Professional installation to
repair and although it said the repair was completed, it did nothing to solve
this problem.

Can you use Task Manager to see if there are extra sessions of Outlook.exe
running? Does killing them and then trying to start Outlook work?
