Outlook won't leave messages on the server

I have tried and tried to keep Outlook 2003 from deleting
my email off my server. I have found the check box under
advanced send\receive setting in "options" and I have
tried variations of the 3 check boxes in this window and
they work until I close Outlook and reopen it, then all
of my settings return to the default of deleting my email
off the server.

Wasn't MS suppose to stop doing things like this? Any
help in steering me to the answer (which i am sure is
here) to this question is appreciated.

Hi,

Goto Tools --> Email Accounts --> View or change existing email accounts -->
Select the account and then click on change. Goto the Advanced Tab and then
under Delivery yu would find the option to Leave a copy of the message on
the server.

Hope this helps !!!

What sort of account do you have? I assume you've got POP3 and that you're
referring to the leave-on-server checkboxes on the Advanced tab of the POP3
account. If so, and if messages are being deleted from the server, could
you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file (preferably as an attachment) after doing a send/receive
in which messages were deleted?
