pdf & jpeg inserted in Publisher document is printing blurry

I have inserted a pdf and a jpeg into my Microsoft Office Publisher document
and they are both printing blurry. The rest of the document is fine. Is there
a way to fix this? Thanks.

depends on the quality of the original image.

I've never had good luck with inserting pdf as an object and having it look
good, so I usually convert it to a non-lossy image file first...like .tif or
..png. etc.

Thanks. I will try saving as a tif. The pdf prints fine outside of Publisher
(in Adobe InDesign) but once I place it in Publisher it is very blurry. I did
save it as a jpeg and it wasn't much better quality than the pdf.

InDesign is designed to import PDFs, Publisher just treats it as an OLE
object, leading to inconsistencies.

JPEGs are not a terribly good file format for the sort of information
typically stored in PDFs. You'd be better off looking at PNG. Also, look
at increasing the resolution you're exporting at - if you're exporting
at screen resolution, then it will be blurry.
