Can you recommend a program for planning working shifts (I don't know
what it's called in English)?
Given, say, 10 persons and a set of hours during the week that has to
be manned, I want to plan which person should take which hours.
Of course, I could just do this in notepad. But it would be nice to
have some supportive, automative features such as telling the program
how many people should be at work in a given time slot, and the
program knowing how many hours each person worked the last week, or
how many hours each person has worked this week up until now etc. And
then have it suggest a plan based on trying to let everybody work the
same amount of hours a week etc.
I am sure such a program would have other nice features that I haven't
even thought about yet.
Can Project do this? Is it overkill? Is there another MS program that
can do this? Is there a non-MS program that can do this?
