printing default black and white

I have created a document that has a company logo on it - I only have the
logo available to me in color. I would like to be able to set this document
to default to black and white printing. Is there a way?

Thanks in advance!

Word has an option in the Compatibility option list for "Print colors
as black on noncolor printers", but it doesn't help if the current
printer is color-capable.

A better alternative is to convert the logo itself to black/white. If
it's already a separate file, you can use a graphics program such as
IrfanView (www.irfanview.com) to change it. If the logo exists only in
a Word document, see
http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm for a way to get a
separate file that you can change.

Or you can just convert the logo to grayscale within Word (using the Color
button on the Picture toolbar). This is not a permanent conversion (though
it might be made so by Compress Picture?), but it will suffice for printing.
