Printing transparency in Publisher?

V

Verona

I've got a Publisher file that has different shapes that I filled with
transparent color (I selected "Fill Color" from the toolbar, and then Fill
Effects and set a transparency level.) So, it looks very nice with different
shapes overlapping and the transparency is very obvious. But, when I print it
out all the shapes are solid and you can't see anything underneath them.

Anyone know how to print it so it looks like it does on the screen?

A driver update *may* help, but this is a known problem throughout the
Office family that has little hope of a fix in Office 2003's lifetime

A workaround in Publisher 2003 is to export as a high-resolution PNG or TIFF
file, but this is not suitable for Publisher 2002, as the resolution cannot
be controlled and is too low for any serious usage.
