problem with opening e-mail message attachments inside inside a me

I have a user in the office who has a problem opneing only mail message
attachments that have been forwarded in Outlook 2003. All other attachments
open fine?

What version is this person using? Exactly what happens when s/he tries to
open them?

The version of Outlook is 2003 on Exchange Server 2000. This user is the
only person experiencing this issue out of 70 users. I have opened this
profile on other computers and it worked fine. On the users machine when you
click or double click nothing happens which makes it bizzare to troubleshoot.
You can double click or richgt click open and nothing happens. These
attachments are e-mail messages forwarded to the user.

What message format? Is Google Desktop Search installed on this PC?

plain thinking one of these might be the issue. I also turned off
word as the editor thinking that may be the problem as well. No
Luck. Goodle desktop search is loaded on this machine and others in
the office as well. These other machines have not shown signs of
issues like this one.

For testing purposes, uninstall GDS and see if that affects the issue.

Hi,

have you resolved this? I have the same problem. I have tried unistalling
google desktop and nothing changed. Others with google desktop are not
having this problem.

Hi there. Please help us.
WinXP Pro SP2
Office 2003 SP2
Exchange 2003 SP2

A user receives .xnk file in email. She opens. Gets the Opening Mail
Attachment warning "You should only open attachments from a trustworthy
source" message. She clicks open. Gets "Access Denied."

I cannot find any help whatsoever anywhere. And for the record she does not
have Google anything installed. Other users on her team have no problems
opening this shortcut. It worked for her up until Monday afternoon. She
says nothing new has been added to her machine.

Please help.
