How do I change the line thickness displayed in the gantt chart in MS project?

Hi Jamie,

Go to Format > Bar Styles to display the Bar Styles dialog box. Select the
Progress Line bar style. At the bottom of the dialog box, on the Bars tab
change the shape to a thicker line. This change will apply only to the
current view.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thank you for that reply but the line that I want to increase in thickness is
the dated progress line which displays the % complete for each activity not
the horizontal progress line displayed in each bar. When I print a gannt
chart with the progess line is so thin it is hard to see it. I am not even
sure that MS Project has the facility to thicken this line. Any ideas?

Hi Jamie,

Sorry to have guessed incorrectly in my first reply. As far as I know,
the option to increase the progress line thickness doesn't exist. You
can change the pattern, color, or progress point, but not the thickness
of the line.

Sorry I can't offer a better answer.

Thank you Julie,

I used to use Asta Power Project teamplan and it was possible to increase
the line
thickness in that program, hopefully MicroSoft will add this facility to MS
Project in the near future!

Hi Jamie,

You're welcome for what little assistance I provided and thanks for the
feedback.
