Project 2007 global.mpt save issue

I edited the VB code in a macro in the global.mpt. I closed MS Project and the Date Modified on the global.mpt has changed as I expected but when I bring up project again and view the VB code, it did not save the change I made. I am using Project 2007 in an Office 2010 environment.
