Project summary tasks hidden - how to freeze so no expansion?

I have sub-tasks "hidden" (+ next to summary tasks). How do I lock this view
so that when I send the files to others with Project they're unable to expand
the summary tasks and see the detail tasks?

I have found and am currently using 'Project | Outline | Hide Outline
Symbols'. This hides the + symbols next to the summary tasks I have collapsed
but doesn't prevent a recipient of the file using 'Project | Outline | Show
Outline Symbols' and seeing detail tasks I don't want them to.
Suggestions please?

You could use a "Summary Tasks" filter, copy and paste only those
columns/dates to a new Project1 with no resources... probably not practical.

I usually make a PDF. I am not aware of a way to lock only certain rows.

OK. I've found that filtering for Summary Tasks is really the same as
'collapsing' to summary tasks and the Outline Symbols are still there --
which is the problem.
I'd use pdf or Word but the recipient is looking to use the tasks as part of
another mpp (cut/paste themselves).
Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi,

One solution is to save the schedule as an excel file and as part of the map
of data to export choose the filter summary tasks. This will only export the
summary tasks. You could then import the excel file to a new Project if you
want.

Alternatively you can select only the summary task cells in Project (not the
whole row) then only the selected cells will be copied to a new project. You
need to make sure all required columns are visible and selected to get
required data across. I would create a new table specifically for this copy.
