I use Outlook 2007, and I have been reading various posts as I can't Open
saved pst files. I made sure the read only was unchecked, and on my hard
drive. I Open, select file and it says " no items in Personal Folders." Is
it there sonewhere?

In addition, I can't find scanpst.exe on computer, nor find
http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/outlook.html. Now what do I do? Thnak you
for your help.

scanpst.exe is a hidden file, you need to include hidden in your search
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\<locale ID>
The above location may not apply to Vista

For Office 2007, scanpst is in %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12

I almost had it! I found the scanpst.exe like you said, ran it on the folder
I have on my desktop, it said it was fixed. The I went to Outlook, imported
it and it is empty (but I know it isn't). Now what do I do?

Run scanpst again then run it several more times after it fixes any errors
(ie run it over several passes that nothing is reported)
Check the size after its fixed
Then within OL, File>Open>Data file, do NOT import
