Publisher Service Provider Program

S

Steven Ferguson

I am a Commerical Printer and am one of the few printers that accept
Microsoft Publisher Files. I have heard of the Publisher Service Provider
Program for 2003 where Microsoft will send us a free copy of the program.
John Giles wrote about this in Quick Print Magazine a couple of years ago
I am looking to sign up for this program for Publisher 2007 and I can't find
anything out about this same program.
Is this program still active??
Thanks in advance,
Steven Ferguson

There is nothing in the search of PSPP or Publisher Service Provider Progam.
Is there such a program in place?

Steven,

It is indeed alive and well, as I have 2007 through it. However, I
signed up in 2000, 2002 and 2003 (I think - I don't remember all the
versions) and had no trouble joining this year. Alas, my computer burped
a few months ago and I lost all my e-mail messages (insert cussing,
screaming, irate emoticons here).

I would follow the link Mary supplied. You might also try the
comp.publish.prepress or the microsoft.public.publisher.prepress NGs. I
think a couple of participants in those NGs use the service.

Hey this dog is still alive. I received this just now. For the record
being a PSPP did help and I found their support valuable but getting to
support level that could help was painful. The help lines never heard of
PSPP but they could take your credit card number before talking to you.

Thanks Ed,
It took me several hours of dealing with people in India who had no idea
about this program but who were kind enough to pass me on to the number I had
just called to begin the whole process again. After 2-such conversations I
was hooked up with our heros in Redmond. They also knew nothing that could
help. They got back to me after 3-days with a simular email that you had
recieved in March? I finaly was able to put this hellish nightmare to bed.
I have also noticed that the find a local printer in your area that accepts
Publisher Files is not functioning. Saltmine is
not functioning as of yet..

Steven Ferguson

Mary, Thank's but these links are for Publisher 2003 (The PSPP) and the other
interview of Katie, is about Publisher 2002. I am refering to Publisher 2007.
I know all about the PSPP program for the earlier versions of Publisher. It
is simple to find information about the earlier versions of Publisher from
multiple sources.
