Publishing to a category

Does anyone know if you can publish directly to a specific category, or
specify a default category to publish a project to. What would be
optimal would be to allow my users to specify which category to publish
each new project to.

This would be using project standard 2002, publishing to server 2002.

Thanks ahead of time, I'll keep researching in the meantime.

Hi Chuck,

I think you need Project Professional 2002 to use with a server - I'm no
expert so I suggest you try posting on the server newsgroup. Please see FAQ

Thanks Glen. In 2002 you can publish with either version, this is not
the case for 2003. Either way, what I'm looking to do is allow the
desktop user to specify which category their project is going to be
published to, rather than giving them web admin rights and having them
to perform another step or an administrator having to categorize the
new projects after they have been published.

Then post on the server newsgroup, as the Desktop stand-alone version
doesn't publish to anything.
