Quickly Expand Long Repetitive Phrases with Short Codes

Does Outlook have a "Replace Text As You Type" Function such as in Word where
you select lines, paragraphs or sections of a document and associate the
selection with a coded entry to quickly generate it over and over with the
same short code, meaning 2 or 3 keystrokes?

yes. But you need to use word as the editor if using outlook 2003 or
earlier. It works the same as with word... and if you need more assistance,
please include the version of outlook.

Would there be any downside, or anything to watch out for? I've noticed that
some of our custom toolbars come into the new message form. We're using
Outlook 2003, by the way.

Thanks again,

no, there should not be a problem using word as the editor with 2003. It
works quite well actually.
