Reading Project Data from Outlook

I have a Project that has a lot of deliverable dates.

What I would like to do, is use Outlook VBA to scan the Project file
and book meetings into Outlook, using the deliverable name as the
subject matter and the start/end dates as the meeting dates with a
reminder set for the day before due date.

My problem is I have limited experience using Outlook VBA, although I
have extensive experience using VB6.

I have no experience with the Project model, so I would not know where
to begin to integrate these two products.

Can someone please assist me in getting this idea off the ground ?
