Receiving email when Outlook 2003 SP3 is closed on XP SP2

Here of lately my Outlook 2003 SP3 is receiving email when it not even open.
Does any one have a fix for this?
Note I have OS XP pro with SP2.

Thats because it hasnt closed fully. Check in Task Manager>Processes Tab for
outlook.exe then end the process.
Usually caused by an add-in or some other software intrgrated with OL, eg
Fax or sync
