Remove-Hidden-Data add-in tool problem

"Remove-Hidden-Data" add-in tool problem.

Since installing the MS/Office2003 "Remove-Hidden-Data" add-in tool (from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...ED-D43E-42CA-BC7B-5446D34E5360&displaylang=en),
I nearly always get a message when I close MS/Word2003, telling me that my
global/normal template has changed and asking me if I want to save the
changes.

What's that about? I have used that add-in only once (just to test it).
So, why do I keep getting a message telling me that changes have been made
to my normal template? This began happening only after I installed the
"Remove-Hidden-Data" add-in. Does that add-in somehow change my NORMAL
template in each and every session even when I do not use the add-in. What
changes are being made?

PS1: When asked if I want to save the changes to my template, I almost
always click NO. Am I doing any damage by clicking NO?

PS2: Sometimes, when I go to re-open Word2003, I get a message telling me
that my normal template has bee auto-recovered. But when I try to restore
it, I get a msg telling me that it cannot be restored. Nevertheless, my
NORMAL template (which contains many macros and other customizations) seems
to continue to work just fine.

PS3: This problem occurs only in WORD2003. I have not seen it in Excel or
in any of my other Office2003 applications.

So, my question is: Why, since installing MS/Office2003's
"Remove-Hidden-Data" add-in, do I keep getting a message when closing down
Word2003 telling me that my NORMAL template has been changed?

I know that when originally released, this product was _not_ ready for
distribution. The latest version is supposed to be better but I don't know
if it fixes this problem.

My recommendation is to uninstall it and reinstall when needed (to be
followed by an uninstall).

It does. The current version of the RHD tool does *not* dirty Normal.dot.
This was demonstrated for us with great pride at the MVP Summit. <g>

Then I'll give it another try and perhaps add it to my MetaData page. Thanks
for the info.

Charles, et. al.: As suggested, I uninstalled and re-installed the RHD
(remove hidden data add-in), but that did not solve my problem.

The problem is that ever since I installed the RHD add-in, I get a prompt,
whenever I exit WORD, asking me if I want to save the changes to my global
NORMAL template. I never got this msg before installing RHD unless I
actually intentionally changed the template.

So, my two questions are:

1) Why is it that ever since I installed (and subsequently re-installed) the
RHD add-in, why do I get a prompt when shutting down WORD asking me if I
want to save the changes to my global normal template?

2) What changes are being made?

This was a problem with the original tool. That has now been corrected, and
the tool now available for download does not dirty Normal.dot.
