Repair a damaged or corrupt MS Project 2002 file?

Susan

That was a great tip, but I cannot open the file. It will help with the way
we handle the new files from now on though.

I created a new file and inserted the corrupted file in it. I can now see
the data in the corrupted file, but I cannot get aound the fact that now both
files are needed.

Hi Susan,

You may wish to remove the link between the corrupted project file and your
new file. Double click on the Inserted Project summary task and on the
Advanced tab remove the check from the Link to project checkbox. This will
give you a copy of the tasks from the corrupted project but will break the
link eliminating the need for both copies.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
Julie
