HI all,
I have an htm stationary file which I use for sending email. I have
created a signature for replies that is a copy of the stationary htm
file. This works fine apart from two problems:-
1. extra spaces are inserted at the start of the reply, and text
format reverts to the setting in my options>mail format>stationary &
fonts>fonts screen. If I move the cursor down to the blank line that
is at the start of my signature, the format remains as that which is
set in the stationary. Obviously having to move the cursor with the
mouse is not a solution.
2. If you delete the blank lines inserted at the start of the reply,
deleting the last blank line causes the line spacing to jump to double
space and the font to change to courier (as mentioned in a zillion
other posts on this group).
I am using Outlook Express on my machine to send test emails to
Outlook in HTML format, so we can rule out the 'sending message
format' solution. It's like deleting the blank lines is actually
deleting the html 'style sheet' settings.
Any idea's? I just want the same signature on my replies (to HTML
messages) that I have when I send a message, preferably without having
to delete extra lines or lose my formatting?
Regards,
Dave
p.s. Outlook 2002
p.p.s. Is is just me or is Outlooks signature and stationary setting
incredibly clunky? You would think that a company that makes the
worlds biggest browser would be able to have better html handling in
Outlook. It's lame.
