I recently reinstalled Office 2003 (Outlook included),
and tried to set a backed up copy of my Personal Folders
(in PST form) as the default Outlook.pst used by
Outlook. This kind of blew up in my face, as now Outlook
has multiple copies of "Personal Folders" in the folder
tree, sometimes as many as three! I can't close any of
them, but other then that they function as any other
folder would.
Is there any easy way to make sure that when I install
Outlook it'll put it's own, default Outlook.pst back?
I've tried deleting the Outlook folder in Documents and
Settings\Patrick Cavit\Application Settings and Documents
and Settings\Patrick Cavit\Local Settings\Microsoft\, but
it still asks me to tell it where the file is.
I've given up on trying to use my backup, and would
really just like to be able to start over, and manually
open my backup and copy stuff that way. Thanks in
advance!
