Hi Guys,

Is there any way to create a rule that could change the subject of an email
based on a specified condition ?

Nope, but it might be possible with some VBA. Why do you want the subject to
change? Can't you achieve the same with for instance assigning categories
and custom views?

Hi guys,
Thanks for answers. I already have categories and custom views but it is not
enough. This is a Help Center inbox and about 15 different people have
access to it - so if someone changes the view ( for example group by
category ) the order gets lost.
If I can change the subject of emails we can just sort them by subject and
voila :)

How is that any different? What if then someone else sorts by category? The
order would still get lost. You can assign colored flags as well.

Just curious; to what do you want to change the subject?

The problem is that you cannot sort by category if you just click on the
column ( you cannot sort by this field message ) you have to go to View /
Arrange by..... but you can just click on the subject column to sort by
subject. Some of the users are not so good with Outlook so I need something
very simple.

I'm using categories and flags right now but it is not working very well - I
set up a rule that checks the message header and based on info from there
assigns category and a flag - problem here is like I mentioned above with
sorting and views and also with the fact that there are only 6 flag colors
and I need more than that.
I need to change the subject so at the beginning it has name of the
country/region from which it has been sent. I get that searching for
specific message-id values.

BTW anyone knows how to search Message-ID field only ( not the entire
message header ) ?
