Rules applied - problem

Outlook 2003 - I have written several rules to move email msgs from my inbox
to other folders. But they don't automatically work - I have to "run rules
now" to get the messages moved from inbox to folders. Am i missing something?

That's very hard to say, since we can't see what your rule definition is.
Post the exact definition of all your rules in the order showing in Rules
and Alerts and post an example of a message you think should work but
doesn't (masking any real mail addresses, of course).
