In 2003; File | Save As ... then scroll down to ext you want. I don't think
earlier versions had this option.

|I need to save publisher pages as a high resolution JPEG, at least 300 DPI,

And, when you choose JPEG, a "Change" button
will appear that allows you to choose 300 dpi.

But WHY do you "need" to save as a JPEG? Why will a PNG not do the job
better?

My guess is that someone told the OP that what he/she needs and the OP
doesn't know enough about the end product to ask that question. (This is not
an *insult* of the OP. It's giving a possible answer to Ed's question.)

Thanks for the help, but I do not get the dialogue box you are talking about.
Do I have to change a preference or something here?

to change a preference or something to get this?

It's an option in the 2003 and 2007 programs.

Maybe an option would be to save
your project as a .pdf file:

Try this...

Download and install the following free PDF Creator.

PrimoPDF
http://www.primopdf.com/

With your new program installed...open your project
in Publisher and go to...File / Print.

On your Print screen...open the drop window and
select PrimoPDF as your printer.

Click...OK...now you will see the PrimoPDF screen
and you can browse to a save folder.

When you click...OK..your .pdf file will be created
in your save folder.

The resulting .pdf file can be viewed on any computer
that has the free Adobe Reader installed.

Maybe your printer will accept the .pdf file.

File, Save as, save as type, scroll down to the image formats. If you are using
2003 or 07 you will be given an option to change the resolution. The option is
just above where you type the file name.

Publisher 2002 also has this option, but you cannot select the resolution.
