Dear MPP users and experts,

Need one help. I use MPP 2003. I have this case -

Task Summary A
Task A1
Implementation
Review - assigned to Resource R1
Rework
Task A2
Implementation
Review - assigned to Resource R2
Rework
Task Summary E
Task F - assigned to Resource R1
Task G - assigned to Resource R2
Task H

# There is no dependency between 'Task Summary A' tasks and 'Task Summary E'.
# Two of the resources in the 'Task Summary A' - R1 and R2 are just
performing reviews, but have major work in 'Task Summary E'.
# I want MPP to schedule 'Task Summary A' tasks first and then schedule
'Task Summary E' tasks i.e. 'Task Summary A' is higher priority. I want MPP
to assign review tasks to R1 and R2 as soon as it is possible and then only
should R1 and R2 jump back to 'Task Summary E'.

I'm unable to get this to work. I tried Leveling using 'IDS Only' and
'Priority, Standard' options but both did not give me the desired results.

Can some one help?

Thanks,
Prashanth

Hi,

Priority, Standard DOES that, absolutely.
You have to
- give a sufficiently higher priority to the review tasks
- You have to set the option Leveling can create splits in Remaining work

Hope this helps,
