Send e-mail to OneNote failed

I am using OneNote 2007 beta and Outlook 2003. I had to reinstall everything
due to a hard drive failure and now when I try to send an e-mail to OneNote I
get the error message "The Outlook item has restricted permissions and cannot
be sent to OneNote" It was working fine before the hard drive crash.

Has anyone run into this and know a solution?
This is a workstation running Windows XP and is part of a network running
Windows Small Business Server 2003. I have administrative rights on this
workstation and Power User rights on the server.

Sorry, I just noticed the post below that a solution to this problem has not
been found yet. I will try to repair the outlook installation to see if it
does anything.

You are probably out of luck. Beta 2 isn't very compatible with OL 2003.
Wait for the next beta and then try this again.

This is an around about way soultion but it worked...

I ended up installing Outlook 2007 beta so the send to OneNote function
would work but then my Documents to Go program would no longer function and
sync to my palm. So I ended up uninstalling the beta and going back to
Outlook 2003 and now the button works. I had tried reinstalling Outlook 2003
before with no luck - not sure why it works now but it does???

It's a known problem.
ON 2007 needs Outllok 2003 and there still are some problems with the
co-operation of the two betas.

A workarounfd would be to use Outlook Express instead of Outlook for
sending mails for ON.
This works really fine (if OE is assigned to be the standard mailer).

Really interesting.
I assume that removing OL 2007 did radically remove things from the
Registry which normally stay behind when Outlook 2003 is unsinstalled.

As to my expreince it's a really though thing to radically remove all
of the remainders from an uninstalled Outlook. A loooooooong list of
Registry entries to be deleted [siiigh] had to do this twice last
years. Awful.
