Sending from the wrong account

I am using Outlook with two e-mail accounts. The main one is my school
address, and the other is Hotmail. On several occasions, when composing
e-mail, I have explicitly selected my school account from the Accounts
drop-down list, but the message still sends through Hotmail. What's going on
here?

I think I know what the problem was. My school account; Outlook's "main"
account, is set up to work on my home ISP. When I take my laptop to school,
this protocol doesn't work, so it tries to send it from the next account,
Hotmail.

Incidentally, this could be a new feature: Make it easy to change individual
characteristics like inbound/outbound servers for a single account.
