server rules + mails in local disk

Environment is Outlook 2002 and Exchange Server. At present I configure
outlook to retreive emails to local hard disk (in a pst file). At this moment
couples of client rules are running to organize mails AFTER they arrive at my
PC.

I wonder if I could add rules to run in the SERVER while keeping whatever it
has been setup now. So I want to have additional rules to move certain mails
to specified folders in the MAIL BOX (in the server). The reason is I don't
want outlook to retreive certain mails to my local machine at all. Is that
all possible?

Get rid of the .pst or make your mailbox the primary information store and
the rules that can run on the server will do so.

thks Sue,

Yes, I heard a few persons saying I should leave emails in the mailbox. But
this is a notebook I carry from work to home. How do I setup outlook to read
the mails easily back home?

In the properties for your Exchange service (Tools | E-mail Accounts),
configure an offline folders file, and synchronize before you leave the
office.
