Shift+Del does not work

Hi there!

I have recently installed Outlook 2003 and I noticed that the permanent
delete feature Shift-Del does not work! I am able to permanently delete a
message by pressing shift and then with the mouse the icon (x) but the key
combination Shift+Del does not work. I have downloaded all service packs and
updates and still nothing. Please help, Shift+Del is my only way to get save
from spam!
