Slack Time

When i change a task to include slack time, I notice that my summary Task
line goes to the immediate right and covers my entire project. Why is this
so?

Total slack is defined as late finish - early finish.
It means that it can slip as far as your last task without affecting the
finish date.
How are you changing the task to include slack time?
