Sorting By Task Subject in Outlook 2007

Is there some reason we cannot sort by task subject in 2007, or am I missing
some option to check mark. I swear I did this in 2003...

Where in Outlook are you?

How (what method) are you trying to sort?

When you are in the Task List (in Simple View as one example) and you attempt
to sort by subject by clicking on the Task Subject column header, you receive
a message box stating "You cannot sort by this field.".

I have since learned that if I right-click a column header and choose
Arrange By -> Subject, then I do get it sorted that way...

Interesting - mine works every time.

Try some other fields. Will they sort? Is this the standard subject field
or did you make your own?

Did it ever work in 2007 for you? If so, what have you changed since then?

Just moved to 2007 a few weeks ago. Everything is standard from install
(Enterprise v ersion install). Every other field sorts in Simple View but
Subject. This is why it seemed so odd...

It sounds like that View may be messed up (that was a highly technical
term).

If you DON"T have any custom views, resetting your views would be worth a
try:

Look for this one:

/cleanviews

Restores default views. Use with care as all custom views you created are
lost.

I did not have custom views (just installed it a few weeks ago), but I tried
teh cleanviews switch and that did not do anything. Thanks for your help,
though.

I have another computer that I also recently installed it on - I am going to
see if the behavior is the same there...
