Strange layout mgt behaviour

Hello all,

I'm new on Publisher. I'm using Publisher 2003 SP1 to manage a sort of
"little book" about a travel I did. This is important as it implies
many pictures on each page, as well as quite a big number of pages
(~66). My .PUB file is ~9MB (with all pictures included).
I have written all my text as plain text, and imported it into
Publisher afterwards. The software automaticaly spanned my text over
several pages and that was great. I "glued" the pictures where I wanted
to, applied a pre-defined template for the book, and that's how I get
my publication.

The problem ?
On certain pages, the displayed layout changes unexpectedly: when I
save the file, it has the "look & feel" expected ; then I just add a
"space" char at the end of a line, and Publisher moves all text up or
down (1 or 2 lines), dancing around included pictures...
=> because of this, some text which was on the next page, can be
brought back on the current one.

This is strange, and corrupt my layout.

But this is even more critical when printing ! Some sentences may
appear at the end of a page (with the "new layout"), as well as at the
beginning of the next page (according to the "old layout"). I have NO
CONTROL on that (this is changing during the printing phase)... :-(

What should I do ?
(I have browsed search engines about this issue, unsuccessfuly : any
help would be very appreciated ! :)

Thanks

I inserted sections as suggested, but that does not change anything.
May be I did wrong, as the sections I introduced didn't "break"
anything in the text flow, which could be the source of the problem...
Here is what I did: "Insert/Section", then "Begin a section with this
page" (repeated on each chapter first page). Anything wrong there ?

Unfortunaly, that does not change anything within each section: always
the same strange behaviour, jeopardazing display and printing...

Any other idea ?

It very well could be the wizard, (the pre-designed template), they sometimes take on
a life of their own. Do you have a fast connection? I could look the publication over
and see what the problem might be. Are you doing the text in Word?
Apply Office service pack 2. Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Is your video driver current?
Publisher booklets are setup in groups of four, what happens if you add two
additional pages?

Thanks for your help proposal.
Unfortunaly, I cannot send 9Mb over my RTC line... :-(
But I could try to "extract" some pages if we cannot find another
solution...

I had composed the text in a simple Notepad, and applied styles
formatting within Publisher.
The video driver I'm using does not seem impacted: I tested my file on
another computer (with the same publisher version), and the result was
the same.
I tried to add pages (2 pages): I don't know what I should have
expected, but it seemed to work...

Is there anything I could do to "remove" the wizard from my document ?
Thanks
