Task Pane

The task pane has become a pain. Is there a way to stop it opening EVERY
time I open a publisher document. I cancel it every time but thought surely
there must be a way of changing the default. Any ideas?

Are you referring to the "Catalog" popup at startup? If so, open Tools,
Options, General tab, uncheck "Use Catalog at startup" then press OK.

I use Publisher 2000 and references art to it.
